Education - Forestry Bursary

South West Solid Waste Commission Forestry Bursary

Monies for the scholarship are derived from the Commission’s sale of timber from the managed forest operation. Several activities are supported from the proceeds of this harvest. Other work done includes development of nature trials through-out the 1000 acre site and silviculture such as planting and thinning operartions to improve the property.

The South West Solid Waste Commission (SWSWC) Forestry Bursary is available to students in their second or subsequent year of post-secondary education. See below for eligibility
